The Multi-Family Program is for duplexes, quadplexes, and apartment buildings three stories and under. The Multi-Family Program is for both new construction and the retrofit of existing homes, each featuring three levels:

Multi-Family Level 1 |
Level 1 Multi-Family projects are 15% more efficient than a similar structure built to code. Retrofit projects at Level 1 are designed to increase the efficiency to 15% above current code. |

Multi-Family Level 2 |
Level 2 Multi-Family projects are 30% more efficient than a similar structure built to code. Retrofit projects at Level 2 are designed to increase the efficiency to 30% above current code |

Multi-Family Level 3 |
Level 3 Multi-Family projects are designed to be solar-powered homes. Solar energy is required, and these homes are at least 50% more efficient than a similar structure built to code. Retrofit projects at Multi-Family Level 3 also require solar energy and result in an improved performance of at least 50% above current code. |
