The Green Retrofit Program is designed to retrofit existing homes in the areas of Energy, Water, Site and Health. The Green Retrofit Program features three levels. Solar potential evaluations are required for Green Retrofit Level 3 projects, and are an option that can be added to Green Retrofit Level 1 or Green Retrofit Level 2 projects.

Green Retrofit Level 1 |
Designed for the homes’ pre-retrofit HERS Index to improve by 30% in energy. |

Green Retrofit Level 2 |
Designed to bring the home up to current code or better by requiring an improvement in thehomes’ pre-retrofit HERS Index by 50% in energy. |

Green Retrofit Level 3 |
Designed to bring the home up to current code and then increase efficiency to at least 50% above current code. Solar energy systems are required. |
Energy Retrofit
The Energy Retrofit Program is designed for newer homes or homes that have already had some retrofit work done and do not need a “deep retrofit” as required in the Green Retrofit program. The Energy Retrofit focuses on improving the energy performance of the home.
