Terrific Treehouse

The Terrific Treehouse event is an opportunity for designers, builders, and artists to show off their skills at designing and building a unique treehouse. The Metropolitan Partnership for Energy has partnered with Texas Public Radio and the local chapter of the US Green Building Council to build a treehouse entirely from sustainable materials. The Treehouse is on display at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens until December 6th.

Construction Waste Management Workshop - February 20, 2008

On February 20th, MPE held our first workshop of 2008. The topic was Construction Waste Management, and featured Greenstone Industires, a unique business in San Antonio who grind construction waste and reuse it on-site for a variety of practical applications, including erosion control and mulching. Their services can reduce the amount of construction waste that goes to a landfill by 50 - 90%.
